What is Lectrium?
Lectrium provides a fully managed service that combines standard pricing, certified electrician services, and time management into a single, stress-free installation experience

Begin design for Lectrium Platform, to be used by Electricians, Managers, and the Lectrium Team, focusing on the Manager platform
Context
Lectrium is a start up founded in November 2021, and had not yet begun development of the Lectrium Platform

Due to the niche nature of the company, we conducted 7 User Interviews to better understand the company, the users and their needs
The client had originally asked for us to design 3 user platforms for Managers, Electricians and Lectrium’s Internal Team
Scheduling jobs and assigning electricians to each job was the primary function of Lectrium’s Manager Platform
Viewing work schedules, examining job details and uploading the necessary information from each job was the primary function of Lectrium’s Electrician Platform

We used the data collected from our User Interviews to create an Affinity Map which we used to develop our User Personas
We created 3 User Flows to better understand how each platform could interact with one another
Once finished with our initial research we realized the scope was too large considering the 3 week time constraint
After discussing the scope with the clients, they decided that the Manager platform was the highest priority. Due to the time constraints, we decided that Competitive and Comparative analyses would be the most appropriate form of research to utilize.
From our user interviews we found that almost all of the interviewed Managers utilize Google Products for their existing workflows
We also found another platform called Field Edge that serves the same primary functions, which we chose to utilize for our C&C Analysis
We then created Wireframes for the Manager Platform consisting of an Assign Job Overlay, a Daily view, Weekly view, and a Monthly View
After reviewing the wireframes, we decided to add a “Quick Look” section of the Home Page for the Mid-Fi Prototype based off of the Dispatch Board from Field Edge
This feature allows for Managers to provide increased visibilty of their electricians schedules to make the scheduling process capable without navigating to a separate page. This would improve the workflow by reducing the amount of clicks needed for Managers to assign jobs based on electricians current schedules.
Next we reduced the Schedule Views to Daily View and a Monthly View which is located on the Calendar Page which helps ensure that all of the necessary information is easily visible without overloading users with information
The Monthly Calendar view allows managers to select which electrician’s schedule they want to view from a monthly perspective, allowing them to understand an electricians monthly workload at a glance
The Daily view allows managers to see an in-depth look at the schedules of every electrician on their roster
Based on a request from the client we also added a progress tracking system that allows for the manager to see the progress of a job with a color coordinated system.
This is responsive to whether or not a job has an assigned electrician and the Assigned Electrician’s progress in the Job Workflow
We also included a Sort and Filter feature to allow managers to view the listed jobs in a manner most beneficial to their current needs
Next we created a Quote Overlay and Add Job Overlay for Managers to create quotes and jobs, using data collected from our research
We then created an Add Electrician Overlay that allows Managers to add a new electrician to the Employee Page with all necessary information. The Employee Page allows Managers to view a list of all Electricians on the Company roster which allows for Managers to easily browse and access information on each individual electrician.
If we were to continue with this project, the next steps would have been to conduct much more research on all Users, start designing the other platforms, creating Mid-Fi Prototypes for each, then conducting User Tests before designing the High-Fi Prototype
